Salu Ribeiro is the co-founder and CEO of Bay Area Phlebotomy and Laboratory Services, a CLIA-certified laboratory and sample transportation, processing, and test distribution service based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
A trained phlebotomist and reproductive scientist, Salu has in-depth experience at high-complexity CLIA-certified laboratories in the public sector such as the University of California at San Francisco, as well as private clinics. In addition, Salu is pursuing research interests, such as artificial intelligence, microfluidic technology, and transgender reproductive health in ART (assisted reproductive technology).
Salu has participated in several advisory board memberships and is currently an active board member of the Northern California Association of Reproductive Biologists (NCARB), the Legislative Committee of the College of Reproductive Biology (CRB), the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) Board of Registry and Associate Member Section, and West Africa Village Education (WAVE).
Salu graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal biotechnology from the University of California at Davis and holds a Master of Science with Merit degree in clinical embryology and andrology from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
