Corporate Communications Manager - Remote

Position Summary 

Our company is looking to hire a skilled Corporate Communications Manager who will work directly with business leadership, and is responsible for creating and driving compelling communications to support business strategic priorities. You will report to the COO for alignment on corporate strategies, messaging, and initiatives . 

This role will function effectively and diplomatically within a fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategist, advisor, innovator, and excellent storyteller, and will have a positive, can-do attitude, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the group. You will be an individual contributor initially and will be expected to deliver results through others who do not report to you.

Principal duties and responsibilities

• Serve as a counselor to the business executives in these organizations to energize their global teams around business initiatives
• Draft external communications where appropriate
• Assist the leadership team in identifying key opportunities to tell the renegade story internally and externally with an initial focus on employee communications
• External messaging from a broader perspective, coordinating closely with the COO and leadership team
• Identify and measure the effectiveness of corporate communications channels and methods of communicating, including innovative new ways of building employee understanding
• Success will be measured on employee understanding of business strategies and initiatives, as well as employee engagement

Education, Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in diagnostic, biotech or pharmaceutical industries
• Degree in communications or project management, MBA a plus
• 5-8 years of experience in corporate communications
• Broad range of communications, project management, and people-relationship skills, in healthcare a plus
• Exceptional proactive internal service skills
• Ability to be strategic, but also execute
• Exceptional executive communications writing skills
• Building trust and credibility as the acknowledged communications expert for the businesses 
• Ability to distill complex concepts into simple, clear messaging, including clean, clear storytelling graphics
• Tech-savvy
• Experience  developing and implementing communications plans that include a wide range of technology-based channels
• Experience creating presentations and providing strong advice and support on how to most effectively tell the desired story

Shifts

M-F 8am-6pm, hours may vary depending on company needs
