Test the People, a renegade.bio initiative, will continue to provide testing for anyone who is uninsured and symptomatic for COVID-19.

Funding Changes for the Uninsured

Uninsured + Asymptomatic = Not covered.

Effective March 22, 2022, the federal government's uninsured funding has run out for the HRSA program. This means that the government funding that was in place to provide reimbursements for uninsured testing has been depleted.

As of Friday, March 25th, uninsured individuals cannot be tested for free.

Updated renegade.bio Insurance Testing Requirements

For individuals without insurance and with COVID-19 symptoms

Individuals will need to verify symptoms both through the uninsured test group and at your chosen testing site.

Symptoms can include, but are not limited to:

Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache

New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
